Cassandra Erickson, DVM
Chief of Staff
I am a Texas native, born and raised in Plains, Texas. I have worked in the veterinary field since I was in high school, where I started out as a kennel tech. I knew at a very early age that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
I attended Texas A&M University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science. After graduating, I attended Western University of Health Sciences in California where I received my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2008. I completed a rotating internship in Albuquerque, New Mexico at VCA Vet Care Animal hospital where I worked from 2008-2009 and gained experience in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Ultrasonography, Surgery, Oncology, and Dentistry.
This is where my passion started for Emergency Medicine, Ultrasound and Surgery. I then moved back to Texas and worked at VCA Beltline East Animal Hospital seeing emergency cases and being on call for 3 years. I was promoted to Assistant Medical Director at VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital for one year, and then was promoted to Medical Director at VCA Advanced Care Animal Hospital. I was promoted to Area Medical director for the Southwest region of VCA in 2018 while I was still the Medical Director and practicing veterinarian at VCA Advanced Care Animal Hospital.
I am now ready to start a new chapter in my career and join the amazing family team here at Colleyville Animal Clinic.
