Veterinary Technician

Ryan W / Veterinary Technician

I grew up in Grapevine, Texas and graduated from Grapevine High School in 2013. While working on my undergraduate degree at the University of Dallas, a friend offered me a job at an emergency animal clinic in Keller, Texas where I worked as a kennel technician, veterinary assistant, and veterinary technician for almost 5 years. It was there that I discovered how much I enjoy working with animals, inspiring me to pursue veterinary school.

After graduating from UD in 2017, I enrolled at UTA to finish taking prerequisite courses. A year later, however, I decided that working emergency hours while in school was too hectic and started looking for a day clinic to transition to. That’s when I found Colleyville Animal Clinic and its wonderful team!

At home, I have two cats of my own: a mischievous three-year-old and a kitten with cerebellar hypoplasia that keeps me on my toes (literally).

I grew up in Keller, TX, and attended Austin College for Business Administration & Psychology. After college, I realized I needed to get back into what I loved – the animal care field! I got a veterinary assistant certification, am currently taking science pre-requisites at TCC-NE, and got hired as a vet tech by Colleyville Animal Clinic in 2018!

I have 2 rescue dogs: Izzy, a border collie mix with one adorable “floppy” ear and one pointed one, was rescued from the Humane Society; and Pepper, a rough collie who is obsessed with licking people and loves to love people, was rescued from the desert in CA.

In my spare time, I love to garden, run, play with my kiddo, eat, and watch movies.

Jeska F / Veterinary Technician

I grew up in Oak Cliff, and graduated from the High School for Health Professionals Magnet. I have always loved animals, and 2 of my siblings are vet techs as well. I started working at CAC in ’04.

I have 3 rescue cats: Turtle, Leeloo Dallas Multipass, and Purrhana; and 3 rescue dogs: 2 pit mixes named Lady and Flour, and a bull terrier named Roux. They all keep us entertained for sure!

I enjoy spending time with my hubby Shan, cooking, baking, and gardening. Together, we have 2 “step-twins” named Avery and Brady.

Autumn G / Veterinary Technician

I first realized my love for animals around the age of 10, when I decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. I began my education with a bachelor’s degree in Biology at TCC, and am now finishing my degree at UTA. My long term goals are to graduate with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine! When I began college, I started looking for a clinic to gain knowledge and experience in the field. This clinic was my top choice, and I was excited to be hired Sep ’16.

I have 1 cat named Alice, who was found abandoned behind a dumpster when she was 7 weeks old. She is an indoor/outdoor kitty who loves the rain and playing in plastic bags.

I love cuddling my cat while reading, and watching recent tv shows and movies.

Yolanda H / Veterinary Technician

I grew up in Las Vegas, NV. My family has always known my love of animals, but it was awhile before I realized the vet field was where I wanted to be. I spent a lot of time working in retail before applying to Petsmart’s veterinary services in ‘98, and never looked back! After taking some time off to spend time with my newborn, I decided to apply at clinics in the metroplex, and was hired at CAC. I’ve been here since ’02 — it was just meant to be!

We have a very sweet boxer/Staffordshire terrier named Bronze that we love dearly. He is very much my “third child”. Our other beloved dog is named Onyx, whose name came from a sweet cat that belonged to a client (also named Onyx). I guess the theme of dog names in our home is hard objects!

I’m a big movie buff, but really just a home body these days – if I’m not with family, pets, friends, or at work!

I grew up in the heart of Colleyville, TX — 5 minutes away from Colleyville Animal Clinic. I have always had a love for animals as long as I can remember. I heard great things about CAC while looking for vet tech jobs in the area, so I walked in with a resume in February 2016, and 2 weeks later I had a job!

I have an amazing dog named Maggie. She is able to let herself outside anytime she wants by opening doors from both sides.

Most of my free time is spent playing hockey or going to the zoo!

Tammy B / Licensed Veterinary Technician

I was born in Chicago, but raised in the DFW area and I have had a love of animals for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Cedar Valley College in 1999 with an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. I have been working in veterinary medicine since 1996, and have been a part of the CAC family since 2001.

I have 1 dog, a 13 year old golden retriever mix named Brego. I adopted her from SPCA as a puppy, after she was rescued from Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time with my husband Fred and my 2 kids.

Jennifer R / Veterinary Technician

I grew up in the small town of Ozona, TX. After graduating Ozona High School, I attended the University of North Tx and graduated nursing school at Howard College in San Angelo, TX in May 2011. My passion is animals. I have been in veterinary medicine since 2015, and joined the great team at CAC in April 2018 after moving back to the DFW area.

I have 1 dog, a terrier mix named “Sadie”. She was 11 weeks old when I adopted her, and she is my cuddle bug. She loves to bark at animals on TV.

I love to read, watch Netflix, and spend time with family and friends.
